Foxy, I believe that's the answer to CCGOfficer and Annies posts CCGOfficer on November 02, 2008, 03:47:23 PM Our website is in the process of being updated. It will take a little while as everything has to be looked over and verified. If the group would like I could list all the 47's with the port they operate out of and the region it is assigned to. CCGOfficer Annie That sounds like a plan CCGOfficer !!

Thanks CCGOfficer !!! And I like the name of the ship att Bella Bella, BC. Makes sense. Since as I recall it was one of the last Canadian places I saw when my parents and I went on our Cruise to Alaska in 1986!!!

CCG Officer,
What kind of training in heavy weather boat handling of the MLBs do their operators undergo, I 've always wondered.

The Coast Guard had a Small Vessel Command Course at one time and is in the process of revamping it. Quite a few of our personnel have worked thier way up to command aboard our MLB's and have learned on the job. The USCG offer a course put on at a place called Cape Disapointment where they get training for operationg MLB's in a heavy surf zone.

Positions have been updated as of December 8, 2008. As you can see the 47' MLB fleet is all heading for winter lay-up over the next week except for B.C. who run year round.

So beginning of April is when the SAR "season" gets underway, as well as the new fiscal year ?
I wonder if any additional assets will be stationed in Vancouver / Port Hallet (Squamish) areas in February for the 2010 games.

Is the S. James still in Reserve status in Pats Bay or has she been reassigned?
