She you may recall played Miro's landlord (well until the whole Tina mishap)!!!

Well they have just handed out the awards at the Vancouver Film Festival.  And both Tantoo and the movie she stars in were Award Winners.

Tantoo won "The Women In Film & Television Vancouver Artistic Merit Award"

And her movie "Mothers & Daughters" won "The VIFF Most Popular Canadian Film Award" to Carl Bessai the director of the film.

My favorite movie that she was in is Smoke Signals.

I loved the mini series "Into The West".  It had many notable SCI-FI actors in it.  Including Alan Tudyk (Wash from Firefly/Serenity), Garrett Wang (Harry Kim from Star Trek Voyager) and the dude who played Angel's son Kane (I believe that was his name.  Feel free to correct me if that isn't the name)!!
